In the Tahitian language, Manea means beautiful—and that’s the spirit we bring to every performance. As the Manea Dancers, we’ve been entertaining families, companies, students, and communities across California for more than 40 years with authentic Polynesian Dancers and unforgettable Luau Shows. We’re truly grateful to our local community for supporting us as a trusted Polynesian dance entertainment group, and we’re honored to share our culture through music, dance, and storytelling. Our purpose is simple: to touch hearts one family at a time, because we believe family matters from generation to generation. When you hire us to help plan your luau, we make it special for the people you love most—creating moments that bring smiles, connection, and lasting memories.

Manea offers customizable luau shows, luau props/tiki props, and full luau planning support for event and party planners, with entertainment that can be tailored for 2 to 6 hours. Show options include a Retro Luau Show featuring classic favorites (Elvis, Don Ho, and more), a fast-paced 45‑minute island-hopping luau show, a fun Tiki Pop Culture Show inspired by tiki vibes and tiki drinks, and our signature fire production Manea Te Auahi (“Beauty of Fire”)—a story-driven performance that highlights how fire is represented across Polynesian cultures. Beyond shows, we offer interactive workshops like lei making, hula lessons, palm hat weaving, tropical floral design, tiki carving demos, candy lei making, Tahitian drum circles, sand-in-a-bottle, tiki mask painting, Maori haka, and classic Kapa dance. For fire entertainment, we feature traditional favorites like Samoan Fire Knife (Siva Afi) and Maori Fire Poi, plus expanded fire acts from Hawaii, Tahiti, and Fiji (fire fans, torches, hip belts), along with male, female, and keiki Polynesian dancers representing Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii, Samoa, and New Zealand. We also book live music—Hawaiian musicians, bands, ukulele players, Jawaiian groups, Tahitian drummers, and cocktail-hour performers—and provide school-approved cultural demonstrations and Hula Kids Party experiences across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.

At most luaus, the two most common Polynesian fire shows are the Samoan Fire Knife (Siva Afi) and the Maori Fire Poi, but we’ve expanded beyond the traditional format to showcase how fire is celebrated across multiple island cultures. Our fire entertainment includes single and double fire knife performances, Maori fire poi, and Tahitian fire acts like Ote’a fire fans, fire torches, and fire hip belts, plus influences from Hawaii and Fiji. We also created our signature production Manea Te Auahi—a story-driven show centered on the love and beauty of fire—so guests experience a richer, more cultural journey rather than just a standard fire knife or poi performance.
